This workshop is the first of two and will explore the local environment around Chisenhale Studios, by helping to maintain the Hertford Union Canal and Regents Canal. The workshop will then move into the education space at Chisenhale Studios where participants will have the chance to make canal mobile art that reflects what they have seen during the towpath cleaning part of the session.
They will use found objects and some extra materials supplied by the artist to make the mobiles.
Participants will be invited to leave their work to be included in Brendon’s end of project living installation.
This workshops is being supported by Lower Regents Coalition a Thames 21 badged group. They will supply all the safety equipment needed, but it is important for all participants to wear practical clothing and no sandals.
The workshop is for all ages, but under 18’s must have a guardian. The session will begin and end at Chisenhale Studios where there are toilet facilities and refreshments.
